SMITHERMAN, Sr., Mr. Allen Edward, age 71, of 200 49th St Fair- field, passed away Tuesday p.m. at a local hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jessie Alice Smitherman: two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Alice Fancher and Mrs, Peggy S. Langston, both of Fairfield; one son, Allen E. Smitherman Jr. of Midfield; three sisters, Mrs. A. O. Davis of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Ruth Houlditch of Montevallo, Mrs. J. D. Payne of Centreville; two brothers, C. E, Smitherman of Tuscaloosa, C. L. Smitherman of Hueytown 7 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 3 p.m. from Angwin Mortuary Cen- ter's Faith Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Rupert Fussell officiating. Interment Valhalla Cemetery.
