Funeral services for Mr.
Clifford D. Smitherman will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Whitehurst
Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Spencer officiating. Burial will be
at Live Oak Cemetery.
Mr. Smitherman died Saturday in a local hospital following a sudden illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie C. Smitherman, Crestview, and one daughter, Mrs. Ann Smith of Alabama, and six grandchildren.
Mr. Smitherman had been a resident of Okaloosa County for the past 36 years and was a retired inspector for the L and N Railroad. He was a member of The Crestview Methodist Church.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to the Okaloosa County Heart fund, P.O. Box 636, Crestview.
Whitehurst Funeral Home in Crestview is in charge of ar- rangements.
