Mrs. Dorothy Smitherman Brown of Richmond, Va. died Sunday, March 13, 1994.
She is survived by her husband, Elvin Ray Brown; one son, Barry L. Brown of Glen Allen, Va.; one sister, Carolyn Lawhon of Winston-Salem, N.C. and a brother, Larry Smitherman of Leesburg, Fla.
Mrs. Brown retired as supervisor of insurance for Sovran Mortgage Corporation (now Margaret ten & Co.) in October 1991 and was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Richmond.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m Tuesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, Richmond, Va. where services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday with interment in Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond.
