Jerry was born to Adam Grier and Emma Kreie Nov. 5, 1912 in Conway Springs, KS. Jerry married Harry D. Smitherman June 1, 1937 in Wichita, KS, at the Forum, as the last public wedding. Jerry was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Jerry loved fishing, camping and bowled until the age of 90. Jerry was a lifetime member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, Wichita, KS, attended First Presbyterian Church after moving to Derby.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents Adam and Emma and sister Genevieve. Survived by children James (Pat) Smitherman, Burnet, TX, Cheryl (Bob) Randa, Derby, grandchildren, Kathleen Smitherman, James (Tesse) Smitherman, Daniel (Janice) Smitherman, Steve (Gayle) Randa, Michelle (Scott) Russell, great grandchildren, James and Joseph Smitherman, Jack, John, and Joely Randa, and Gage Russell.
