SILOAM, N.C. - Mrs. Hazel Irene
Scott Smitherman, 78, wid- ow of Mr. Arthur Frederick Smitherman, of
Route 1, Box 282, (Hardy Road), passed away early Monday morning at her
home.
She was born in Surry County to George Wesley and Sally Marion Scott, and was a member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donnie (Peggy) Moore, Route 1, Box 279, Siloam, Mrs. Bill (Glenda) Wall, Route 1, Box 282, Siloam; one son, Mr. George Neil Smitherman, 2801 Kecoughtan Road, Pfaff- town; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Maude Mikles, Route 2, Pinnacle, and one brother, Mr. Gray Scott, Route 2, Pinnacle.
One son, Frederick Gray Smitherman, preceded Mrs. Smitherman in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Pinnacle View Baptist Church by the Rev. Clate Brown and Rev. Gilmer Denny. Burial will be in the Shoals Baptist Church cemetery. The body is at the Cox-Needham Funeral Home and Chapel in Pilot Mountain, N.C. and will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at other times at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Donnie Moore on Quaker Church Road, Siloam.
