Jesse Marvin Smitherman, 81, of
Randolph, passed away peacefully on Sunday. A devoted member of Shady
Grove Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge, Jesse was known for his
steadfast faith, commitment to community, and love for his family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Randolph, with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hoffman-Rockco Funeral Home.
Jesse is survived by his four sons; Gewin Smitherman (Randolph), Levi Smitherman , and Lindberg Smitherman (McCalla) and Jesse Smitherman (Wilton); four daughters; Mrs. Dorothy Stock (Ensley), Mrs. Mrs. Virginia Frith, Gulf Shores, Mrs. Martha S Halbrooks, Birmingham, and Mrs. Elsie Daniels, Calera; two brothers, Robert Smitherman, Alabaster, and Harvey Pratt, Oregon; and three sisters, Mrs. Ada Lee Glascock, Jemison, Mrs. Juanita Wilson, Maplesville, and Mrs Wilda Moore, Alabaster.
