jettie maude (stough) Earl smitherman
SMITHERMAN, JETTIE MAUDE EARL, age 88, went to be with the Lord June 12, 2009. She was born in Bibb County; she resided throughout her adult life in Bessemer, where she was a faithful member of 7th Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. Gerald Earl and Mr. Samuel Smitherman; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Stough; and four sisters. She is sur- vived by her children, Mrs. Alice Faye Harrison (Jimmie), Mr. Gerald Earl (Cheryl) of Maplesville, Mr. Larry Smitherman (Denise) of Centreville and Mrs. Judy McGowen (John) of Hueytown; fifteen grandchildren,. twenty two great grandchil dren and one great-great grandchild.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Trudy Musulman who assisted with her care during her final years.
Funeral services will be held at Randolph Baptist Church in Randolph, Alabama Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm with burial at the church cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
