SMITHERMAN, Colonel Julian Edward (retired), USAF, 69, Rt. 1, Union Springs, AL, (Thompson
Community), died Sunday, August 11, 1991, in the Arab-Guntersville
Hospital.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 14, 1991, from the First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Randall officiating. Burial will be Thursday, August 15, 1991, at 1:00 p.m. in Arlington Na- tional Cemetery, Arlington, VA, with full military honors.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carolyn (Bootie) Smitherman; one daughter, Mrs. Junith Martiniere, Stone Mountain, GA; one son, Lt. Colonel Richard Smitherman, San Antonio, TX; one step-daughter, Mrs. Camie Cook O'Connor, Snellville, GA; two step-sons, Mr. Alfred Foy Cook, Jr. and Mr. William Charles Cook, both of Montgomery, AL; five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-7:30 pm.
