Funeral services for Mrs. Lovie
Rebecca Smitherman, who passed away at her home on Rt. 5, Longview on
Saturday evening, will be held at the Winterfield Methodist Church, of
which she was a mem- ber, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Mrs. Smitherman was
80 years of age at the time of her death and had lived in the Longview
area since she was 12 years old. The Rev. Lewis Gant will officiate at
the services. Welch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was a member of the Winterfield Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dan H. Smitherman of Longview; three sons, Joe C. Smitherman of Longview, Robert H. Smitherman of Marshall of D. A. Smitherman of Longview; three daughters, Mrs. M. L. Duncan of Marshall, Mrs. Wiley J. Winegar of Longview and Mrs. Ed Bussy of Long- view: 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two brothers, Jake Smelley and Steve Smelley, both of Longview.
She was a member of the Winterfield Methodist Church.
