Luther Smitherman, 50, of Route
5, died at the home last Sunday. Services were held at Walnut Creek
Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Revs. Jesse Mitchell and
Clyde Davis; Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers
were: Donald and Robert Partridge, James, Donald, Marvin and Elizie
Smitherman. Flowers were handled by friends.
The wife, Mrs. Mertis Johnson Smitherman, survives; son, Ross, and daughter, Barbara Ann; mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Vines Smitherman; two brothers-Charlie and Curtis Smitherman: two sisters-Mrs. Addie Partridge, and Mrs. Maggie Partridge, both of Route 5; one grand child.
Native of Chilton county, he was a son of George Smitherman and Elizabeth Vines Smitherman
