Funeral services for Mrs. Mary
Smitherman were conducted at the Rehobeth Church Friday morning at
10:00 o'clock, by Rev. J. E. Lovelady. She was sick only a few hours,
suffering from the effects of a stroke.
She is survived by one brother, Mr. John Lawley, of Maplesville; three step-sons, Mr. Henry, Fate and Lum Smitherman, of Randolph; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were: Mr. Owens and Elbert Lawley, Mr. Will Cost, Mr. Charlie Head and Mr. Allen and Thornton Lawley.
