Services for Robert Eugene
Sinitherman, 20, of Greenwood, who died of injuries received in an
automobile accident Saturday, March 23, 1991, were 10 a.m. Tuesday at
Williams & Lord Funeral Home chapel.
Mr. Smitherman was born in Fort Rucker, Ala. He had been a Greenwood resident for the past 14 years. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Money and an animal handler. He was the son of the late Coy B. Smitherman. He was the paternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. V.O. Smitherman and the maternal grandson of the late Wardell Lipsey.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Buddy Fillyaw of Schlater; three brothers, Kenneth Dale Smitherman and Victor Smitherman, both of Schlater and John Smitherman of Greenwood; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hazel Toten of Greenwood; and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Fillyaw of Schlater.
The Rev. Preston Kelly officiated. Burial was at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw.
Pallbearers were Brian Brandford, Randy Harper, Stan Spell, Timmy Smith, Robert Gosa and Toby Meredith
