Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie
Jane Smitherman, 76, of 1128 14th- pl, sw, who died yesterday at her
home after an illness of several years, will be held at 11 a.m.
tomorrow at the West End Baptist Church. The Rev. James H. Butler will
officiate. Burial will be in Elm- wood Cemetery, Johns-Ridout's
directing.
Mrs. Smitherman was a member of the West End Baptist Church. She served as an officer in the Woman's Missionary Union several times. She was also a member of the Friendship Club.
She is survived by her husband, D. L. Smitherman; a daughter, Mrs. E. G. Mason; three sisters, Mrs. L. D. Holsum, Birmingham; Mrs. Grace Dunlap, Alabaster, and Mrs. Mattie Sewell, Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, T. J. McArrell, Brent, and several nieces and nephews.
