Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah
Jane Smitherman, 87, who died Sunday morning at her home. 917 South
Seventeenth street, were held at Emmanuel Baptist church at 11 a. m.
Monday, Rev. M. L. Rhoades offiicating, interment in Rosemound
cemetery, Compton's in charge.
Pallbearers were Howard Day, Gus Harrell, Dorsey Willey, W. T. Arm- strong. O. L. Chamberlain and J. T. Massey.
Surviving are three sons. T. E. and L. A. Smitherman, both of Waco, and W. H. Smitherman of Hamilton, four daughters, Mrs. D. M. Massey, Mrs. C. L. Reed. Mrs. W. S. Halpain and Mrs. J. B. Thomas, all of Waco.
Mrs. Smitherman was born in Texas and lived in Waco for the past 37 years.
