Mr. Thomas J. (Smitty)
Smitherman - A native of Fayette, AL and a resident of Theodore for the
past 23 years, died at the family residence on Friday, June 27, 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn McGough Smitherman of Theodore, AL; two sons, Garland Willis Smitherman of Irvington, AL and Jerry Lott of Slidell, LA; his mother, Mrs. Maggie Smitherman of Theodore; seven sisters, Mrs. Celia Jordan of Lucedale, MS, Mrs. Maudie Huffmon of Prairie, MS, Miss Margie Smitherman of Theodore, Mrs. Grace Cox of Pascagoula, MS, Mrs. Hazel Reese of Prairie, MS, Mrs. Julie Brown of Aberdeen, MS, Mrs. Susie Gregory of Theodore, AL; one brother, Frank Smitherman of Zion, IL; five grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Monday, June 30, 1980 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. Funeral arrangements by Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin St. Ext., Mobile, Alabama.
