SMITHERMAN, Thomas Jefferson,
70, a resident of 2051 Gibson St.. and a lieflong resident of
Montgomery, died in a local hospital Thursday after an extended
illness.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Delma Gentry Smitherman, Montgomery; a daughter, Mrs. Dottie S. Ragsdale, Montgomery; brother, Johnny Smitherman, San Antonio, Tex.; six sisters, Mrs. Jake Foley, Tuscaloosa; Mrs. Milton Thames, Monroeville; Mrs. Sarah Gulli, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mrs, Reagan. Higgins, Mrs. John John Britt, and Mrs. Anita Hoover, all of Dallas, Tex.: three grandchildren.
Services will be from the Jackson Street Church of God Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. James C. Allen officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, White Chapel directing. The body will lie in state at the church from 2 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
