Smitherman, 65, 908 N. Washington St, Tuscumbia, will be at 1 p.m.
Friday at Spry Funeral Home chapel, Sheffield. The Rev. David
Jicka will officate. Burial will be in HIckory Flat Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-9 tonight at the funeral home.
He died Wednesday at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, Florence.
He was a native of Lauderdale County, an auxiliary operator for TVA 41 years, a member of IBEW Union Local 558, a member of Masonic Lodge 613, Lexington, and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cora Smitherman; a son, Randy Smitherman, Sheffield; daughters, Miss Cathy Smitherman, Miss Donna Smitherman, Miss Melinda Smitherman, all of Tuscumbia, Mrs Nancy Steele, Stevenson, Mrs. Cherie Milstead, Florence; sisters, Mrs Jessie McGee, Miss Lillie Smitherman, Miss Bessie Smitherman, Mrs. Tessie Phillips, all of Killen; brothers, Ben Smitherman, Henry Smitherman, John Smitherman, all of Killen.
Bearers will be Lake Rymer, Clifford Yarbrough, H.S. Smith, Cecil Young, Donald Jones, James Jollay, Marsell L Love.
