Mrs. Dollie Ethel Goodson, age
80, of Kennard, passed away Sunday, August 5, 1979 at a local nursing
home. Mrs. Goodson was born October 5, 1898 in Houston County and had
resided all of her life. She was a member of the Bapist Church.
Three sons, Rolan Goodson of Conroe, G.A. Golson of Channelview, O'Neil Goodson of Kennard; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Straubing of Dallas, Mrs. Linnie Graham of Dallas; two brothers. Jap Smitherman of Kennard, Robert S. Smitherman of Abilene; four sisters, Mrs. Caroline Gates of Huntaville, Mrs. Susanna Gates of Spring, Mrs. Shermie Davis of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; 16 grand- caldren, 15 great grand- children.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 6 at 4:00p.m. in the Callaway Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Oswald officiating. Interment was in the Ivie Cemetary near Kennard.
Pallbearers: Steve Graham, Lean Goodson, Dana Goodson, Frank Goodson, Noel Goodson, Cell Goodson.
Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Davidson, Ronald Goodson, Mike Springer, Larry Andrews, Dennis Goodson, Harald find son, David Goodson.
