mamie (barnes) smitherman
On April 3, 1938 God in His
infinite wisdom saw fit to call Mrs. Smitherman to her home on high and
live with her husband who preceded her to his grave 4 years ago. She
bore her suffering long and patiently. She joined the Randolph Baptist
Church in her young days and lived her life to the end. She was a
devoted wife, mother, daughter, grand-mother and loving friend.
She was loved by all who knew her.
Funeral Services were conducted by Rev. Cannant of Wilton with Jeter Undertaking Company of Montevallo in charge. Interment in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: L. A. Sanders, Percy Lemley, J. A. Jones, Doyce Wheeler, J. W. Butler, L. S. Caffee. She leaves to mourn at her passing 6 children, a mother, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a host of relatives and friends.
Weep not loved ones, our loss is Heaven gain.
Signed,
A daughter-in-law,
