The funeral of Mrs. Nancy
Fletcher Smitherman, 76, who died at the home of her son, L. L.
Smitherman, at East Bend last night, will be conducted from Baltimore
Methodist Protestant Church Wednesday mornday morning at 11 o'clock,
Rev. G. B. Ferree, pastor, assisted by Rev. Ellis Norman. Sons and
grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The deceased had spent almost her entire life in the Baltimore community, uniting with the Baltimore church many years ago. She was the widow of J. A. Smitherman, who passed in death in 1907.
Surviving are four sons, L. L. and Hobart Smitherman of East Bend and J. Harold and Ambrose Smitherman of this city; one brother, Calvin Fletcher of E Bend, and one sister, Miss Martha Fletcher of Guilford College. Twenty-two grandchildren are among other surviving relatives.
