EAST BEND Mrs. Ruby B. Norwich,
57, of Route 2, East Bend, died Wednesday at 10:55 a.m. at the N.C.
Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Norwich was born in Yadkin County, on January
20, 1920, the daughter of John T. and Sally Smitherman Binkley and was
a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church. Surviving are her
husband, Joseph J. Norwich; one sister, Mrs. Freida Ellis of 4360
Northampton Drive, Winston-Salem; and two brothers, Charlie Frank
Binkley and T.S. (Bud) Binkley, both of Route 2, East Bend. Funeral
services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Baltimore United
Methodist Church by the Rev. George Dalton with burial following in the
church cemetery. The body will remain at the Mackie- Gentry Funeral
Home in Yadkinville until placed in the church at 2:00 p.m. Friday. The
family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00
p.m. Thursday.
